Mix Missions

These are version of mix crates but they do not contain songs. They perform a function of equalizing the distribution of music allowing the most popular songs to spread beyond the confines of the mix crate they were released in.

They are custom missions made by DJs consisting of a mix or series of mixes made with music from the game to share with the community for free.

If a player has all the songs in the mission they can just go ahead and play it

If a player does not have some of the songs used in the mix they could be bundled up into a purchase so they can play the level without needing to buy the entire mix crates the missing songs come from

This means if a song is popular it will be in a lot of mix missions

The songs will have a count of how many mix missions they are used in

So this provides great value to the player as purchasing the song will enable its use across all the other free missions

And they could use the song in their own mixes spreading it further

DJs could look for songs that have not been distributed widely to increase revenue

DJs could team up with community members to make custom content for their mix mission

Revenue from these single song transactions would include a split for the DJ who made the mix mission, Allowing DJs to promote the artists and get a fee for the sales they generate.

Being free missions they could be a very popular choice for gamers
