Gameplay Concepts

In play mode:
You're driving but you're DJing.

In record mode:
You're DJing but you're making a game map.

The game is a hybrid dualistic experience.

The player is driving and DJing simultaneously.

The game is a game not normal DJing.

BPM = KPH means you can´t slow down it´s not a normal driving game.

The player is the crossfader, controlling the audio output.

The DJ is the guide, setting up the mix, controlling the audio input.

The game syncs everything so the player cannot "clang" the mix.

The player experiences the flow of DJing immediately.

It should be easy and fun to play, allowing the player to get immersed into the mix.

It should reflect the skill of the DJ and allow the player to express their skill.
It should support many genres of music.

It should be able to generate levels that last as long as the DJ wants to mix.

The gameplay experience should be able to match the musical mix, for example;

- a chill cruise along a beach road at sunrise mixing reggae.

- a high speed pursuit through traffic in a futuristic city to drum and bass.

Between mixes when one song is playing, the player can relax a bit and enjoy the music. Gameplay can shift focus to combat, stunts and narrative features.

All the combat elements should be timed to the music, creating a stylised opera of destruction.

There should be an arcade style scoring system, enabling each mix to have its own high score records.
